Launching Pad on-site member Band of Neighbors distributed its first issue of its newsletter on Nov. 21. Band of Neighbors specializes in creating crime prevention systems that provide advanced protection for neighborhoods and business districts. The company plans on sending its newsletter to subscribers on a regular basis to inform about its recent developments and future plans. On-site member PureSense, who works out of the WET Incubator, has been named by the World Ag Expo as one of its 2008 Top 10 New Products. Selected from a pool of applications submitted by Expo exhibitors, the Top 10 represent the most innovative products showcased at the annual event.
PureSense's Irrigation Manager provides real-time, decision-making intelligence for farmers, allowing them to conserve resources and increase yields. The patented information system and proprietary field monitoring stations collect, relay and process continuous data about soil, water and climate, so customers can access easy-to-use PureSense "know-how" and online software applications anytime from anywhere.
Additional success came to PureSense on Oct. 18 when it took first place at the Central Valley Venture Forum, where local companies showcased their businesses to potential angel and venture capital investors. Eight companies presented at the event, including six CVBI member companies.
Launching Pad on-site member Vine Global launched one of its flagship products in Singapore last month. The Vine Global solution allows U.S. online retailers to sell directly to Singaporeans without any changes to the retailers' technology platform and logistics processes. Vine Global will launch in Malaysia on Nov. 12.
