Michael Dozier is currently serving his first year on CVBI’s Board of Directors. The community and economic development director for the City of Clovis, Dozier is passionate about helping CVBI facilitate business start-ups and job creation.
“We have a much better chance of creating 30,000 jobs in five years by encouraging business start-ups and expansion of existing businesses than in attracting new businesses from outside the region. It is more relevant and practical to put thousands into growing your own,” Dozier says.
He is also a member of the Workforce Investment Board, the California Redevelopment Association, California Association of Local Economic Development and the International Economic Development Council.
Dozier received his bachelor’s in political science/public administration from California State University, Stanislaus.
