When I am asked, "What does CVBI do?" my simple answer is - "We bring together community resources to help companies launch successfully." Those resources come into our organization in a variety of ways. Sometimes people help our members directly with advice or services. More often, financial resources are given directly to CVBI to run our organization.
Sponsor funding is a crucial piece of our operating budget. Unlike many grants, our sponsors fund the work that we are already doing. Our sponsors don't require new initiatives or programs, and also don't require new reporting procedures, contracts or processes. In short, they simply make it possible for us to do what we do - foster economic development through entrepreneurship.
We are both grateful and appreciative that CVBI already has some wonderful public and private sponsors who financially support our efforts to grow our economy by growing new companies. Please visit our sponsorship page to see the great supporters that we have, and to look at the sponsorship opportunities available - general sponsorship, opportunities to sponsor the offices that house our businesses, and the "naming" opportunity to sponsor our classroom.
As our community expands its support for growing businesses, the economic results will benefit all of us. Here is one statistic to think about - for every $1 invested in a business incubator, $30 are generated in local tax revenues. That is just one way to measure return on investment, but it gives us a glimpse into the economic strength that happens when we support and grow our own businesses.
Thank you.
