AT&T Supports Entrepreneurism for Disabled Veterans

Central Valley Business Incubator-SBDC was awarded an AT&T grant to provide free online training and follow-up counseling for disabled veterans looking to start a small business

Fresno, CA, June 9, 2011: Online training offered by Central Valley Business Incubator-SBDC is being subsidized by an AT&T grant. Instead of the usual $200, an online course will be free to disabled veterans.

Our goal is to make sure every disabled veteran in Fresno, Madera, Kings and Tulare counties are given the opportunity to explore entrepreneurship. This program will provide easy access to information and assistance to help make the entrepreneurial dreams of disabled veterans come true.

- Rich Mostert, Central Valley Business Incubator-SBDC Assistant Director.

Despite the down economy and growing number of disabled veterans, the partnership between AT&T and Central Valley Business Incubator-SBDC will provide complimentary 1-on-1 assistance and consulting to serve deserving, disabled micro-entrepreneur veteran businesses.

Central Valley Business Incubator-SBDC is a community benefit organization that provides consulting services for existing and potential small businesses to develop, grow, prosper and contribute to the local economy. CVBI-SBDC provides tools, resources, guidance and coaching to early stage and expanding businesses to help entrepreneurs, innovators and business owners to mitigate risks and increase their chance of success.

This partnership with AT&T has given Central Valley Business Incubator-SBDC an ability to reach deeper into veteran communities to empower disabled veterans to fully explore the opportunities and benefits of entrepreneurship.
