As COO, Borgeas helps to coordinate fund development and synchronize overall organizational operations. She works out of CVBI’s mixed-use Launching Pad at Cedar and Shaw avenues.
With a background in the finance industry, Borgeas worked as a senior business banking officer for Chevy Chase Bank in Maryland, where she was responsible for underwriting commercial loans. Previously, she served as a financial analyst with the San Diego National Bank, providing lenders with financial analysis of new and existing borrowers.
Borgeas has also worked with the U.S. Department of State as a professional development fellow through the Institute of International Education and the Fulbright program in Yerevan, Armenia. As part of the research program, Borgeas helped to investigate economic development opportunities for Armenia and the Caucus region.
She received her undergraduate degrees in history and economics from UC-Santa Cruz and an MBA in entrepreneurship from California State University, Fresno, where she was awarded the Craig School of Business Graduate Dean's Medal.
Fluent in both Armenian and Greek, Borgeas has served as a contributing editor to Armenian Business Magazine and was awarded the State Congressional Award for Excellency in 2001 by Congressman Radanovich.
