Future and current business owners can learn details about the new patent laws that take effect in November, as well as copyrights and trademarks, at a workshop to be hosted by the Central California Chapter of SCORE, Counselors to America’s Small Business. The workshop, “How to File and Use Patents, Trademarks and Copyrights,” will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, from 8 a.m. - noon at the Fresno District Small Business Administration (SBA) Office, 2719 N. Air Fresno St., Suite 200 (Clinton and Air Fresno). The workshop will cover what new laws will take affect in the patent and trademark industry once they are implemented in November. About SCORE SCORE is a national, nonprofit organization that is part of the Small Business Administration. The Central California Chapter of SCORE offers free business management counseling to would-be and current entrepreneurs in Fresno, Kings, Tulare and Madera counties.
