The Central Valley Business Incubator will host a fundraiser called “Made in the Central Valley” on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 5:30 p.m. The event will feature a mock Central Valley Stock Exchange and local wines. Dinner will be made with locally-produced foods and will be catered by Trelio, a Clovis restaurant. To be held in Clovis at the Veterans’ Memorial Building, “Made in the Central Valley” is an opportunity for community and business leaders to support CVBI’s efforts to develop our local economy by supporting high-growth companies. “This event will showcase the exciting businesses that have been started by local entrepreneurs and nurtured in CVBI’s two incubator facilities,” said Board Chairman Claude Laval. “It will also give the community an opportunity to financially support the economic development activities of CVBI that have created nearly 2,000 jobs during its 11-year history.” The Central Valley Stock Exchange – or CVSE – will be a fun way for guests to see demonstrations from CVBI’s member businesses. Guests will receive play money at the door that they can use to invest in the companies who will be vying for their support. The entrepreneurs who gather the most play money will win trips for weekend getaways within Central California. Tickets are $50 per person, and can be purchased by calling (559) 292-9033. |
