In its third-consecutive year, 59DaysofCode proved once again that Fresno has outstanding technical talent. With more competition than ever before, the pressure was high and the standard for excellence was raised, making the victory that much sweeter for winners Ventata who won In-Progress, Leadscreener who won Zero-Code, & Ensemble Online who won People’s Choice. 59DaysofCode increases awareness for technological innovation and enhances community pride by allowing attendees to see and test the latest technological innovations, then vote for their favorite in the People’s Choice Category. Meanwhile technology experts are recruited to judge the In-Progress & Zero-Code categories, selecting three finalists in each category to pitch on the main stage. Throughout the 59 days leading up to the competition, all competitors are given guidance and business support by event organizers Geekwise & the Central Valley Business Incubator.
A little more about the winners: Prizes of cash & in-kind services went to Ventata for In-Progress, an e-commerce site that helps sellers adjust prices to maximize profits; and Leadscreener for Zero-Code, a product to help businesses discover high-quality leads on social media by monitoring relevant topics and filtering out noise. With cash prizes of $5000 & $10,000 for In-Progress & Zero-Code categories, respectively, these winners were thrilled to receive votes from industry experts. People’s Choice winner Ensemble Online secured support from the community and received a surprise $500 cash prize.
